Two Senior-Level Promotions at Lincoln 1st Bank

Lincoln 1st Bank, which has served the personal and commercial banking needs of customers throughout northern New Jersey for nearly a century, has announced two key promotions. Philip B. Vaz, who currently serves as chief financial officer, has been named executive vice president and chief operating officer; while Tracey McGovern, currently the Bank’s vice president and controller, will transition into the acting chief financial officer position.

Vaz has enjoyed an upwardly mobile tenure with Lincoln 1st Bank since 2004, when he started his career at the Bank. Following his graduation from Rutgers University in 2007, he held a variety of executive positions, starting with accounting assistant and moving up to financial analyst, chief financial officer and, now, executive vice president & chief operating officer.  Vaz also received his MBA from Capella University in May of 2017.

As the bank’s newly appointed Acting CFO, McGovern will be responsible for overall financial management including accounting, balance sheet management, financial planning and analysis, corporate treasury and financial regulatory reporting.

McGovern joined Lincoln Parked-based Lincoln 1st Bank in November 2014, following 16 years of finance and accounting experience at both domestic and global firms in the New York Metro area. Throughout her career, she has focused on establishing financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems in addition to maintaining overall financial and accounting functions. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Georgetown University.

The dual promotions come at an important time for Lincoln 1st Bank. This summer, the Bank’s Montville branch will be moving down the road to 223 Changebridge Road, where it will enjoy a prime location in the brand new Tuscany Village Plaza.
