JK Design Launches Software Design Company App-Eaze

Hillsborough-based JK Design announced a new business unit, App-Eaze, specializing in mobile, software as a service, and enterprise solutions to improve productivity in the workplace. Based initially on the company’s internal needs, JK Design launched App-Eaze which developed a mobile and a SaaS application. The mobile application will be available through the Apple iTunes and Google Play stores.

“We built App-Eaze out of necessity,” explained Jerry Kaulius, founder and chief creative officer at JK Design. “As we expanded our team and office, we needed a better way to allocate personnel resources and workplace assets, such as meeting rooms. We developed two applications, one of which enables us to keep track of our people and their available time that can be applied to client projects. The other allows us to schedule conference rooms and other office assets through a central calendaring system, and use tablets as mini billboards to display who is using them and for how long.”

After months of development, both applications have been deployed and tested at JK Design. App-Eaze is planning to formally launch these applications later this month.

“As an agency, our digital design services continue to evolve, especially as organizations across industries are leveraging mobile and cloud-based applications,” added Brett Fielo, chief technology officer and chief operating officer at JK Design. “App-Eaze started as our own internal lab and has several products in the pipeline that will enable organizations to optimally use their office environments and enable personnel to be more productive.”

App-Eaze builds on the expertise of the JK Design team. Most recently, the company announced a project with Formyula, a venture that provides a data collection platform. Formyula recently launched mobile applications for iOS and Android to enable data to be captured on smartphones and tablets instead of paper-based forms. The data collected, known as Mycrodata, is stored on a central software-as-a-service platform that can be analyzed and managed.

From booking meeting rooms to optimizing employee availability and allocating resources, App-Eaze offers digital tools to empower businesses to be more proactive, make better-informed decisions and operate with efficiency. App-Eaze has additional products in development including a content management tool to easily capture information for sales presentations, and an enhanced meeting management solution.
