Donald Scarinci is the Founding & Firm Managing Partner of Scarinci Hollenbeck, LLC, a 60 + attorney regional alternative to a National 250 law firm, based in Lyndhurst, New Jersey. While Scarinci Hollenbeck has offices in New York and Washington, D.C., the firm’s roots are deep in New Jersey, where Mr. Scarinci has been practicing law, growing a business and emerging as a prominent voice in constitutional law since the 1980s.

Over the years, Donald has overcome several notable crises that put Scarinci Hollenbeck to the test. Some examples include the economic crises of 1989 and 2008, as well as Hurricane Sandy in 2012. These were key moments in the firm’s history as it influenced Donald to develop a firm infrastructure that could remain sustainable regardless of the circumstances. Most recently, like virtually all businesses, the firm faced a myriad of challenges as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Regardless of the unprecedented challenges facing all businesses, the firm emerged stronger than ever under Donald’s leadership and foresight gained from previous crises. While many businesses shut down indefinitely, Donald made it a point to lead his staff through the last 16 months. He kept morale up by recording weekly videos for staff that included firm updates & encouraging news, acknowledgement of various holidays, recognition of staff accomplishments, and more. Financially, he made key decisions which secured the firm to operate in the black throughout the pandemic and although revenue was down, profit was up. Most notably, he made a commitment to honor the employees he had furloughed in the beginning of the pandemic. By Fall 2020, he welcomed back most of the employees that were furloughed and assisted the remaining former employees in finding new jobs.

Before all this, Scarinci Hollenbeck was an eight-attorney law firm on top of a Blockbuster in Teaneck, New Jersey, focusing primarily on public and municipal law. Today, the firm has a roster of more than 60 attorneys and is recognized as one of the leading law firms in the tri-state area for Environmental & Land Use, Commercial Real Estate, Business Law, Litigation, Intellectual Property, and Can-nabis Law. It is the combination of Donald Scarinci’s leadership, foresight and com-passion for his staff that has leveraged the firm for continued growth over the last 30 years, in 2021 and beyond.
