Wildwood Beach Named Best Beach in NJ

The Greater Wildwoods Tourism Improvement and Development Authority (GWTIDA) announced that Wildwood’s beach has been named the ‘Best Beach in New Jersey’ by USA Today’s 10Best Reader’s Choice travel awards contest.

This poll was open to the public to choose the best beach – from Sandy Hook to Cape May – along 130 miles of the New Jersey coastline. Wildwood beaches are known for their free, five-mile stretch of white sand and offer plenty of room for summer activities. The Wildwood beaches host numerous events throughout the summer including sports tournaments, the National Marbles Championships, Monster Truck Races, Motocross Races, Sand Sculpting Festivals, concerts, the Wildwoods International Kite Festival and more.

“We’re proud of our beaches, and are truly honored to be named the best beach in New Jersey by USA Today readers,” said Greater Wildwoods Tourism & Development Authority Executive Director/CFO John Siciliano. “To have our beautiful free beaches recognized for their outstanding quality, safety and cleanliness offering our visitors an unmatched vacation experience is a great testament to the hard work and dedication of our 3 municipalities’ public works departments who work tirelessly in maintaining our beaches on a daily basis all year long,” he added.
