Trinitas Expands Radiology Services with State-of-the-Art Suite

Nadine Brechner Interventional Radiology Suite Named for Former VP and Chief Development Officer of Trinitas Health Foundation

To continue to meet the needs of the community and to further enhance the continuum of care in the City of Elizabeth, Trinitas Regional Medical Center, an RWJBarnabas Health facility, has unveiled the newly expanded state-of-the-art Nadine Brechner Interventional Radiology Suite, funded in part by the J.C. Kellogg Family Foundation and the Healthcare Foundation of New Jersey. Trinitas recently held a ribbon-cutting ceremony and tours of the new Siemens Interventional Radiology suite and the event also featured a dedication ceremony to highlight the storied career of Nadine Brechner, the suite’s namesake and former vice president and CDO of the Trinitas Health Foundation.

“The science behind radiation is complex and rapidly changing,” Gary S. Horan, FACHE, president & CEO, Trinitas Regional Medical Center. “Through assistance in funding from the J.C. Kellogg Family Foundation and the Healthcare Foundation of New Jersey, Trinitas Regional Medical Center continues to raise the bar and provide access to the latest interventional radiation modalities for residents of Elizabeth and the surrounding community.”

The Siemens Artis Zee will expand interventional radiology services offered at Trinitas provide experts with pinpoint accuracy to perform minimally invasive procedures that can diagnose and treat a variety of conditions including cancer, liver disease, cardiovascular disorders, and gynecological conditions.

The expansion also enables Trinitas to continue to make high-quality care that prioritizes patient comfort and safety accessible to all patients and the communities the facility serves regardless of their ability to pay. The new system’s advanced features will dramatically reduce procedural time and significantly decrease and reduce patient and staff radiation exposure while still allowing for optimal images.
