NJ Leaf Receives Adult-Use Retail Cannabis License

Monmouth Wellness and Healing, LLC, operator of the NJ Leaf retail cannabis dispensary in Freehold, was awarded an adult-use cannabis license by the New Jersey Cannabis Regulatory Commission at the Commission’s meeting on June 1. This license will allow the dispensary to expand beyond medical cannabis sales and welcome adult-use customers aged 21 and above.

NJ Leaf will celebrate the beginning of adult-use sales with a celebratory event on Wednesday, June 21, during recreational sales times from 10:00am to 8:00pm. Corresponding with the first day of summer, the event will take place at the dispensary, which is located at 546 Park Avenue in Freehold. It will feature music, food trucks, giveaways, raffles, vendor displays, and more. The event is open to adults 21+ years of age.

Since opening its doors in March of this year as a 3,500+ square-foot, state-of-the-art medical cannabis dispensary located in the heart of Freehold Borough, NJ Leaf, which is woman-owned, minority-owned, locally-owned, has served over 1,200 medical cannabis patients.

“We are proud of our success to date, having constructed and opened our dispensary in just six months and serving medical cannabis patients for the past three months. We have already received over 200 five-star Google reviews and we are eager to extend that service to adult-use customers, providing safe, legal access to cannabis for all those in need,” said NJ Leaf’s CEO & Pharmacist Ritesh Shah. “We are committed to not just serving our community, but also being part of it. To that end, we are proud to offer discounts to seniors, veterans, and government assistance recipients,” Shah continued.

Alisson Jensen, NJ Leaf’s vice president of operations, sales, and marketing, noted that “Our dispensary is dedicated to providing clients with a diverse and quality selection of products. Whether you are looking for indica or sativa, THC% or terpene profile, flowers, cartridges, concentrates, or anything in between, we have the selection to satisfy both new users and cannabis connoisseurs.” Jensen continued, “When you add to that the elegant design of our facility and our highly educated staff, we offer a unique experience from start to finish. We are ready to kick off summer on the right foot with our adult-use grand opening – we can’t wait to see everyone at our celebration on June 21!”
