New Slate of Officers at NJ Bankers Association

NJBankers has installed a new slate of officers to its board of directors.

Effective immediately, Christopher D. Maher, chair and CEO of OceanFirst Bank, will serve as chair with Steven M. Klein, chair, president and CEO of Northfield Bank serving as his first vice chair, and Patrick L. Ryan, president and CEO of First Bank serving as his second vice chair. John S. Fitzgerald, president and CEO of Magyar Bank will continue to serve on the board as immediate former chair.

“I feel privileged to take on the chairman’s role at such an exciting time for the banking industry,” said Christopher Maher. “The industry in changing quickly and I look forward to working with NJBankers Board and staff to create innovative solutions to better serve our members and the communities they represent”

Affuso, Esq., NJBankers evp/director of government relations and incoming president and CEO. “Chris, Steve, and Pat are all such dynamic leaders in their institutions and that level of leadership is going to be a great asset to the Association moving forward.”
