Mooney-General Paper Co. Celebrates Centennial

In an industry where corporate mergers and acquisitions have become too commonplace, Mooney-General Paper Co. is proud to be celebrating its 100th anniversary on February 1, 2017 as a 3rd generation privately-owned and family managed enterprise.

Located in Hillside, MGP Is a Leading Supplier of Industrial Packaging Supplies and Equipment, Food Service and Food Package Processing Supplies and Equipment, & Sanitary Maintenance & Safety Supplies and Equipment.

Founded in Newark in 1917 by Henry G. Mooney, George Schuck, Morris Riemer and Joseph Riemer, MGP remains owned and managed by second and third-generation family members. Gary Riemer (Joseph’s son), serves as CEO Emeritus. Richard Ribakove (Gary’s son-in-law), is President, and Andrea Ribakove (Gary’s daughter), Executive VP and Chairman of the Board. Stephanie Ribakove (Andrea and Richard’s eldest child) is aboard as a 4th generation member.

A “One-Stop-Shop”, MGP offers a wide array of product lines from leading manufacturers at competitive prices, specializing in providing both conventional and creative solutions to meet their customers’ needs. A dedicated and committed outside sales force work closely with their customer base to provide their expertise.

To commemorate this milestone, the family will host a gala celebration honoring their dedicated employees and valued partners at Crestmont Country Club in West Orange, New Jersey.
