Menendez, Booker Announce $7.4M Federal Investment

U.S. Senators Bob Menendez and Cory Booker announced $7,422,115 in Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) grants for improvements at Morristown Municipal and Atlantic City International Airports.

“These important federal investments not only help ensure the safety of air travelers, but stimulate our local economy and create new jobs,” said Sen. Menendez.  “Modernizing our aging infrastructure helps keep our state economically competitive, and is a top priority as I fight for New Jersey in Washington.”

“This federal investment is another example of our shared commitment to restoring New Jersey’s aging infrastructure,” said Sen. Booker. “By investing in the Morristown and Atlantic City airports, we are not only keeping travelers safe and moving, but also strengthening New Jersey’s economy.”

The grants include:

  • $7,021,659 for runway safety improvements at Morristown Municipal Airport
  • $400,456 towards the construction of a deicing facility at Atlantic City International Airport.  This is in addition to the $8 million to build the deicing facility the senators previously announced on May 14.
