North Plainfield, N.J.-based Levin Management has announced two lease commitments totaling 7,900 square feet at Brunswick Shopping Center in North Brunswick. The new tenants include national paint and supplies retailer Sherwin-Williams (4,500 square feet) and local dental chain Community Dental (3,400 square feet). Levin serves as exclusive leasing and managing agent for the 288,560-square-foot retail property, strategically located at the intersection of routes 1 and 130.
Levin Leasing Representative Gloria Mercado negotiated the long-term leases. Jeff Mullen of Summit Realty LLC represented Community Dental.
Celebrating its 150th anniversary in 2016, the Sherwin-Williams Company is a leader in the manufacture, development, distribution and sale of coatings and related products for professional, industrial, commercial and residential customers. “We are thrilled to add a global home improvement retailer to this center’s tenant roster,” said Mercado.
“Sherwin-Williams is rapidly expanding across the United States and saw a void in this marketplace,” she added. “Brunswick Shopping Center – with its strong demographics, strategic address and proximity to a host of national retailers – was an ideal location for the brand’s Northeast growth. As an increasing number of consumers embark on renovation and home improvement projects, we are confident Sherwin-Williams will be a wonderful resource for the community.”
Local dental provider Community Dental also is joining the tenant mix at Brunswick Shopping Center. The family-friendly group practice will offer a range of dental, orthodontic and cosmetic services for pediatric and adult patients. “Retailers continue to view Middlesex County as a vital growth market,” said Mercado. “These two lease signings showcase Brunswick Shopping Center as a highly sought-after business address where national, regional and local retailers, service providers and restaurants thrive.”
Anchored by an LA Fitness health club, Brunswick Shopping Center also includes Access Storage, Rainbow Apparel, Dollar Tree, Sally Beauty Supply, Rutgers Wine & Liquor, Roma Unisex Beauty Salon, Muscle Maker Grill, McDonald’s, Rita’s and Magyar Savings Bank, along with typical neighborhood conveniences such as a laundromat and bagel shop. The center, located just minutes away from Rutgers University, serves a growing residential population of 271,000 people within a five-mile radius. The average household income is $92,000 within those same five miles, and the daily traffic count passing the property is almost 100,000 vehicles per day.
Retail availabilities at Brunswick Shopping Center range from 3,200 to 21,000 square feet. A 55,400-square-foot anchor space, suitable for a grocery tenant, also is available.
