Hill Wallack LLP Presents Check to the 2014 Special Olympics USA Games

Princeton-based Hill Wallack LLP recently presented the 2014 Special Olympics USA Games with their $100,000 contribution to this year’s event. The firm is a Bronze Partner of the 2014 USA Games and Presenting Sponsor of Spectator Services.

“Hill Wallack LLP is excited to be a part of this monumental event,” Managing Partner Robert W. Bacso said. “On behalf of all my partners and the entire firm, we are proud to support this wonderful organization and look forward to being a part of something so special.”

In addition to a financial commitment, Hill Wallack LLP is excited about many of its lawyers and staff serving as volunteers for the 2014 Special Olympics USA Games with assignments ranging from setup and registration to airport greeters and athlete escorts. As the Presenting Sponsor of Spectator Services, an integral function of the 2014 USA Games, firm employees will also be providing information such as schedules and maps to all event visitors. Spectator Services information stations will be at each of the 10 competition venues.

Hill Wallack employees are eager to participate. Patricia Russo, a longtime employee of the firm said, “I’m volunteering because I feel it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity with Special Olympics taking place in New Jersey.” Another colleague, Mary Gnias, Office Manager of the firm’s Yardley office said, “I’m excited to meet and support the athletes from all over the country competing in this event. It’s an honor to be part of an organization that truly makes a difference.” Partner Denise M. Bowman said, “I volunteer because I want my children to see the value of incorporating volunteerism into their lives.” Hill Wallack Counsel, Jordan S. Friedman was quoted, “Stories of perseverance are important to both me and my family, and I look forward to being on hand for equally important ones that the athletes will be telling on the field and their families and friends will be reveling in.”

Nearly 3,500 athletes will compete in 16 Olympic-style team and individual sports, with the support of 1,000 coaches, and tens of thousands of volunteers, family, friends and spectators. The 2014 USA Games will take place throughout Mercer County, NJ including competitions at Princeton University, Rider University, The College of New Jersey and Mercer County Park, with the Opening Ceremony taking place at Prudential Center in Newark. The 2014 USA Games will be held June 14-21, 2014.
