Gillian Bleimann-Boucard Assumes CEO Position at Berjé Inc.

Berjé Inc., a Carteret-based leader and distributor of essential oils and aromatic chemicals, announced the promotion of Gillian Bleimann-Boucard to CEO, replacing her father, Kim Bleimann in this position. Kim Bleimann will continue as chairman of the board of directors of Berjé, Inc., and will be taking a greater role in the continued expansion and growing the operations of Berjé Europe which includes the distillation facility, Berjé Trakia.

Bleimann-Boucard joined Berjé in 2007 and previously held the position of executive vice president. Over the past 15 years, she has touched every aspect of the company. Her contributions as a member of Berjé’s executive leadership team for the past four years have been an integral part of Berjé’s continued growth and success. Through her leadership, she has helped to position the company as a global leader with her unique understanding of Berjé’s marketplace. In her new role, Bleimann-Boucard will look to lead the more than 70-year-old family business into its third generation, focusing on growth, sustainability and continued quality stewardship and innovation.

Her recent contributions as a member of our executive leadership team have been a key factor in the execution of our corporate vision. This promotion is well-deserved and is an acknowledgement of our confidence in her ability, intelligence and passion.”

In her previous role as executive vice president of Berjé and while also the president of The Berjé Group’s Whole Herb Company, Bleimann-Boucard has spearheaded several successful initiatives and innovations across the Berjé enterprise over the past four years, including expanding and restructuring the company’s purchasing department, negotiating several international distribution partnerships, and conducting a review and refocus of the company’s strategic goals.

Gillian Bleimann-Boucard holds a Bachelor’s degree from Connecticut College. She serves on the board of directors for the WFFC (Women in Flavor & Fragrance Commerce), is an active member of Fragrance Creators Association (FCA) and also serves as a Member of the Board and a mentor for the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. She was born in New York City and now resides in Hoboken with her family.
