Another Milestone Celebrated in the Jersey City University Place Timeline

City Line West, Jersey City’s newest luxury apartment complex, opens its doors and extends a welcome to new residents in search of city living coupled with comfort, style and convenience

Circle Squared Alternative Investments, The PRC Group of Companies, Del-Sano Contracting Corp., alongside Jersey City and New Jersey City University (NJCU), hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the grand opening of City Line West, the latest luxury apartment building to open as part of the $400 million-plus University Place redevelopment area. The 132,000 square-foot development will offer 144 units comprising studio and one- and two-bedroom floorplans outfitted with some of today’s most upscale amenities and technology. City Line West will be located at 33 University Place Boulevard in close proximity to major mass transit options, including light rail and PATH to New York City. Following the ribbon cutting for City Line West, the group also put shovels to dirt to celebrate the groundbreaking of the next phase of the luxury, multi-family project – City Line East.

“It didn’t seem that long ago that our team was just starting to discuss University Place and reviewing preliminary ideas and sketches on paper,” said Jeff Sica, president and CEO of Circle Squared Alternative Investments. “Now, fast forward to this morning, and we’re coming together again to celebrate another momentous achievement in the master plan for this location. The joint venture we’ve formed with PRC has yielded incredible results here and we could not be more thankful to have a partner such as them to bring City Line to life. We’re looking forward to the next chapter in the City Line project with the groundbreaking of City Line East and hope to be standing here again next year at this time, alongside PRC, to celebrate its grand opening and begin to welcome residents to their new homes.”

Each of the units comprising City Line West will offer advanced technologies, including smartphone door access, smart thermostats and Amazon Alexa Ready on selected switches; high-end kitchens featuring Silestone counters, decorative tiling and stainless-steel appliances; upscale bathrooms with cultured marble vanities and subway tiling; and decorative lighting. Tenants will also be afforded Rhino No Security Deposit options and can rest assured that City Line West is pet friendly, complete with a pet washing station. Also offered is on-site parking and bicycle storage, a café, meeting room, a 24-hour fitness center with yoga room, and luxurious common areas including a rooftop BBQ and lounge. Throughout the complex, residents and their guests will enjoy Wifi access, so that they can always stay connected during their stay.

“We are celebrating the grand opening of City Line because of something very powerful – an idea,” said Robert Kaye, chairman and CEO of The PRC Group of Companies. “But an idea is a lone thought without motivation, action and teamwork. We brought together the best in each discipline to ensure success. City Line is here today because of our partners and the hard work of many people. We look forward to our next phase with all of our partners and friends.”

Following the ribbon cutting ceremony, representatives from Circle Squared Alternative Investments and the PRC Group immediately moved to the next phase of the City Line project, breaking ground on City Line East. Larger than City Line West, its sister development, City Line East will boast 198 luxury units outfitted with smart home technology, high-end finishings and tasteful amenities. The complex will also encompass a total of 8,564 square feet of space dedicated for retail.
