300+ Employee Orthopedics Group Now Part of Virtua Health

Virtua now South Jersey’s largest orthopedic provider

Moorestown-based Reconstructive Orthopedics and its 300-plus employees have become part of Virtua Health’s Virtua Medical Group (VMG). The medical-surgical practice is now Virtua Reconstructive Orthopedics. More than 90 orthopedic clinicians are now part of the VMG staff.

Virtua Health, South Jersey’s largest health system, announced its intention to acquire Reconstructive Orthopedics in April. At that time, Virtua President and CEO Dennis W. Pullin, FACHE, said: “For decades, the doctors and professionals of Reconstructive Orthopedics have delivered outstanding care to this community and are held in the highest regard by their patients. We are excited and honored to have this caliber of experts join Virtua Health.”

Based in Marlton, not-for-profit Virtua Health operates five acute-care hospitals, 38 surgery centers, and 350 other care locations. VMG is a network of more than 1,000 medical and surgical physicians and other clinicians employed by or exclusively affiliated with Virtua that collectively offer an array of care services, including primary care, urgent care, specialty care, and much more.

Virtua Reconstructive Orthopedics’ clinical team has specialists in all major areas of the musculoskeletal system, including neck, spine, shoulder, hip, knee, ankle, foot, elbow, and wrist. Experts in trauma and sports medicine are also on staff.

Virtua Reconstructive Orthopedics medical offices span four N.J. counties: Burlington, Camden, Cumberland, and Gloucester. Locations include:

  • Bordentown
  • Cherry Hill
  • Medford
  • Moorestown
  • Pitman
  • Sewell
  • Vineland
  • Voorhees

“Collectively, Virtua Health has nearly 100 orthopedic providers on staff; it is truly an ‘all-star line-up,’” said John Matsinger, DO, MBA, executive vice president and chief operating officer for Virtua Health. “This ensures South Jersey residents can find outstanding care close to home.”
