The New Jersey Business & Industry Association and New Jersey Business Magazine take pride in recognizing nine manufacturers in the state with our 3rd annual Manufacturing Awards. The selected companies run the gambit of small, mid-sized and large businesses throughout the state. More importantly, they represent a diversity of quality products that improve the lives of millions of people around the world. Novelis

Novelis is the leading producer of flat-rolled aluminum products and the world’s largest recycler of aluminum. The company provides innovative solutions to the automotive, beverage can, specialty and aerospace markets. For more than 50 years, Novelis’ employees in Clayton have been manufacturing aluminum foil and semi-rigid foil containers for food packaging and distribution.

The facility has evolved into a re-rolling and finishing operation that now supplies foil and light-gauge, non-heat treatable aluminum coiled sheet to end markets across the retail, food service, cosmetic, pharmaceutical and baking industries. With a manufacturing capability to deliver countless colors, prints and customizations on its aluminum sheet, the Clayton facility is proud of its longstanding customer relationships. Additionally, Novelis’ 110 employees are active volunteers and contribute to many Gloucester County-based organizations.

For more than 34 years, NUPRO Pet Supplements has been an essential part of the natural healthcare industry for pets. Its products are used by professionals such as AKC Dog Show breeders/handlers, and police K9/search and rescue, sporting, agility and coursing trainers to keep canine athletes in optimal health. NUPRO’s formulas can be used by household dogs as well. These products help with skin, coat, allergies, immune system, excess shedding, joint mobility and more. NUPRO also makes supplements for cats and ferrets. The company uses whole food ingredients in their natural state to enhance a pet’s well-being. It has developed the first Nutritional Smoothie mix for dogs. Another product, NUPRO Lyfe-Spyce, contains turmeric, curcumin and healthy mushrooms for strong immune function. The company staffs seven employees in Manalapan. It supports many canine and feline rescues, police and veteran-owned dogs, and provides raffle prizes for clubs to raise funds for local rescues across the country.
