New Jersey Business magazine and the New Jersey Business & Industry Association take pleasure in recognizing 10 manufacturers in the state for their longevity and contributions to the industry – not just in the Garden State, but globally. What follows are profiles on these businesses, revealing their leading-edge products, markets served and proud history in the Garden State. At NJBIA’s “Made in NJ Day” celebration on March 26, we will honor these businesses at the State House in Trenton with our inaugural Manufacturing Awards.

Adsorptech is a manufacturer of industrial scale new adsorption-based oxygen production equipment. It is also a global service provider for troubleshooting, upgrading and re-lifing existing adsorption-based industrial gas equipment, and is a consulting engineer for any gas separation technology from simple feasibility studies to fabrication and installation services. In 2014, Middlesex-based Adsorptech decided to reinvent itself from an engineering consulting company by expanding into manufacturing and selling proprietary equipment both locally and around the globe. The company’s patented new oxygen generator represents the most energy efficient source of oxygen in the world. Using an EcoGenTM oxygen VPSA (vacuum pressure swing adsorption) improves the consuming industry production costs with a bonus of reducing pollution. Falstrom Company is a contract manufacturer of custom electronic enclosures, electronic assemblies, weldments and precision machined parts for the aerospace and defense industry. Falstrom Company products are found on US Navy submarines, destroyers, aircraft carriers, fighter jet engines, and commercial space lift vehicles.

Precision machining, welding complex structures and intricate electronic assembly of components for a variety of military applications are the core competencies of Falstrom Company along with painting, finishing and assembly of mechanical parts; all delivered to most of the global tier 1 defense and aerospace companies.

Based in Passaic, Falstrom Company was founded 150 years ago by Gustav Falstrom, who emigrated from Sweden and set up a business in Passaic. Falstrom supported the military during World War II and began to exclusively focus on defense and aerospace applications in the 1980s.
