NJTV Names Sally Garner Executive Producer

NJTV, New Jersey’s Public Television Network, announces that Sally Garner will assume duties as its new Executive Producer, reporting directly to NJTV’s General Manager John Servidio.  Garner previously served as the Executive Producer for WNET’s weekly newsmagazine, MetroFocus. 

In her new role, Garner’s responsibilities will entail developing new programming, and production of town halls, and other special broadcasts.  Garner, a resident of New Jersey, will also be charged with growing new content partnerships with colleges, universities and media outlets in the state.

An Emmy-award winning television producer, Sally Garner’s experience includes producing, writing and reporting for major news outlets including CBS and CNN and public television in New York and Los Angeles. She most recently served as executive producer for WNET’s award-winning weekly news magazine program, MetroFocus, following duties as a senior producer at NJTV on its nightly news program and live coverage specials. Garner was producer and writer for WNET New York’s nationally-distributed news program, WorldFocus. Garner also produced and wrote WNET’s Treasures of New York: Lincoln Center, an hour-long documentary on the history and renovation of New York’s cultural arts center, hosted by Patti LuPone. She was Executive Producer for the live two-hour SuperstormSandy: A Live Town Hall broadcast in May 2013, and co-Executive Producer of the live three-hour program What Next After Newtown in December, 2012. Garner received her B.A. from UCLA.
