Fidelity’s goal is to make financial expertise broadly accessible and effective in helping people live the lives they want. The firm focuses on meeting the unique needs of a diverse set of customers: helping 24 million people invest their own life savings, 20,000 businesses to manage their employee benefit programs, as well as providing 10,000 advisors and brokers with technology solutions to invest their own clients’ money.

Privately held for nearly 70 years, Fidelity employs 42,000 associates who are focused on the long-term success of our customers. Fidelity has assets under administration of $5.1 trillion, including managed assets of $2.0 trillion as of August 31, 2015.

Fidelity established its regional operations in the New York/ New Jersey area in 1983. Since then, its workforce has grown to over 1,300 associates working in offices in Manhattan and Jersey City, as well as 24 Investor Centers in the region.

Fidelity associates in the region support the firm’s institutional and asset management clients, as well as personal investors and workplace customers.

In communities where it operates, Fidelity is committed to being a good steward and neighbor. For several years, Fidelity volunteers from New York and New Jersey have supported Rafael De J. Cordero P.S. 37 Elementary School in Jersey City throughout the school year, and also have supported students through a partnership with Citizen Schools. For the past several years, Fidelity has been the primary sponsor of Community Evenings at Liberty Science Center, promoting financial literacy in schools and in the community.
