Fidelity established its regional operations in the New York/ New Jersey area in 1983. Since then, its workforce has grown to over 1,300 associates working in offices in Manhattan and Jersey City, as well as 24 Investor Centers in the region.

In communities where it operates, Fidelity is committed to being a good steward and neighbor. For several years, Fidelity volunteers from New York and New Jersey have supported Rafael De J. Cordero P.S. 37 Elementary School in Jersey City throughout the school year, and also have supported students through a partnership with Citizen Schools. For the past several years, Fidelity has been the primary sponsor of Community Evenings at Liberty Science Center, promoting financial literacy in schools and in the community.
