Rick Howe’s career reflects a steady persistence in the pursuit of excellence. From his modest start at The Knotts Company as a sales trainee, through his assumption of the top spot and acquisition of the firm, he has maintained a laser-beam focus on providing value to customers.
As a student of the sales profession, Rick has led by example, methodically seeking new knowledge and its pragmatic application to real-world challenges. The result? The transformation of a typical industrial distributor focused on moving product, into a team of trusted advisors constantly improving the productivity and financial performance of its business partners.
He has quietly become recognized as an innovator in the automation and motion control industry. His insight and advice is sought out not only by customers, but also by peers and colleagues in other industries. Not surprisingly, he credits his own success to the counsel provided to him by these same executives and professionals.
Rick also brings the same philosophy to his personal life. He and his wife of 35 years, Sherry, have raised an engineer/business manager, a Navy Lieutenant and a US Marine. They are both just learning how to be outstanding grandparents.
