President’s Message

Welcome to this special section on NJBankers and the New Jersey banking industry. For more than 115 years, NJBankers has been connecting New Jersey’s banks with legislators, regulators, the media and the public at large. We’re proud to tell the story of how New Jersey’s banks are driving economic growth in the Garden State and supporting consumers, businesses and government.

In this special section, we’ll share with you how New Jersey’s banks are impacting communities throughout the state, not just by their substantial economic impact, but also through philanthropy and the volunteerism of the over 48,000 bankers who live and work here. In this timely supplement we’ll share with you:

  • A detailed study on the direct and indirect economic impact of the banking industry on New Jersey’s economy
  • A report on the community service initiatives and charitable activities of New Jersey’s banks

Our membership base consists of 82 banks that have a rich diversity of size, charter and business model. These banks are well-suited to meet the needs of the customers and communities they serve. NJBankers also has over 200 associate members that provide value-added solutions to our members banks. Our motto is “Making Connections” and we do so through our government relations efforts at both the federal and state levels; by providing professional development resources; representing members in public and media relations; and delivering employee and health and welfare insurance benefit programs through our licensed insurance brokerage facility, Bankers Cooperative Group.
