LSRPA Announces Sounding Board

Confidential Peer-to-Peer Discussion

The LSRPA has launched its members’ only Sounding Board service. The Sounding Board is a value added service to the LSRPA membership.

The purpose of the Sounding Board is to provide LSRPA members with a web-based forum to ask questions that do not appear to have clear-cut solutions, or to discuss other concerns in a confidential setting. Members are provided with opinions and feedback derived from the multiple viewpoints represented on the Sounding Board committee; a service that is not otherwise offered to the LSRP community.

Members are directed to the Sounding Board webpage via an Induction Portal. The portal asks four basic questions to help frame the query and provide the Sounding Board committee with a summary of the issue. The portal is structured to be concise and user-friendly. Several LSRPs have already submitted questions to the Sounding Board, including technical, ethical, procedural, administrative and regulatory topics. Once a query is submitted, an initial e-mail is automatically distributed to each member of the committee, providing the query specifics. Typically within 24 to 48 hours, the committee reaches a consensus and contacts the LSRP to provide verbal, confidential peer-to-peer discussion of their issue.

LSRPA members are invited to take advantage of the Sounding Board, the association’s latest member benefit.
