Celebrating 100 Years of Service

Prager and Fenton began in New York City in 1920. The firm focused on the entertainment and music industry, and boasted Irving Berlin, Mary Pickford, and Charlie Chaplin as some of its earliest clients. As the music industry shifted its business from New York City to London and Hollywood, Prager and Fenton adapted, opening offices in both locations in the 1960s. This allowed the firm to continue to serve their growing international client base.

As the firm continued to thrive, so did its service and industry expertise. Prager and Fenton began to diversify, providing expert accounting and advisory services to a number of additional industries such as professional practice firms, real estate groups, and private wealth individuals.

Then, in 2013, the firm combined with Metis Group LLC to form Prager Metis. The two firms found their deep-rooted practices to be both philosophically and culturally complementary. Metis Group provided a full range of accounting and tax services including forensic accounting, business and strategic planning, and litigation support. This combination set the firm on a trajectory of tremendous growth that has shown no signs of slowing down.

Since then, Prager Metis has grown into a top international advisory and accounting firm, with over a hundred partners and principals, more than 600 team members, and 18 offices worldwide.
