Allied Health Accolades: ACI Medical & Dental School

ACI Medical & Dental School has brought new life to the former Eatontown Public School No. 1 at 215 Broad Street, which had initially opened in 1908 following the Eatontown Township Board of Education’s decision to build a four-room schoolhouse (in 1955, the school was renamed Fred G. Steelman Elementary School after its namesake, who began teaching in 1916 and later served as principal).

The site’s current reimagining, which entailed the employment of more than 60 construction workers, honors its educational heritage: ACI Medical & Dental School President and CEO Frank A. Preston moved his school to the location in November 2021, bringing with him a robust curriculum, 12 committed staff members and enthusiastic students.

As one of the top technical schools in New Jersey, the more than 20,000-square-foot ACI Medical & Dental School trains students in three programs in the allied health fields and offers competency-based portable credentials and wage increases as they respond to skilled workforce needs across New Jersey’s communities. The school plays a critical role in training entry-level healthcare workers for the area’s surrounding healthcare facilities, and it impacts thousands of community members through its highly educated and trained workforce.

ACI Medical & Dental School’s graduates have a 94% pass rate on national credentialing exams and an identical 94% employment rate before they serve their fellow citizens as medical assistants, dental assistants, and medical/dental administrative assistants.
