Fox Rothschild’s New Jersey attorneys are having a particularly good year. The firm’s notable work throughout the state in a variety of areas – employment, family law, gaming, health care, intellectual property, litigation and real estate – helped to catapult Fox onto this year’s prestigious list of “New Jersey Legal Powerhouses” published by Law360.

An 800-attorney national firm, Fox has deep roots in the Garden State, with more than 170 attorneys in its Atlantic City, Morristown and Princeton offices.

“What sets Fox apart in New Jersey is our depth and our entrepreneurial culture,” says Ian D. Meklinsky of the Princeton office, who co-chairs the firm’s Labor & Employment Department. “Among the handful of big, national law firms in New Jersey, Fox has by far the strongest presence and footprint.”

Fox’s New Jersey presence is also distinguished by its women attorneys in leadership posts. Deirdre Moore is Managing Partner of the Morristown office and Eileen Oakes Muskett is Managing Partner in Atlantic City. Princeton Health Care attorney Elizabeth G. Litten is the firm’s HIPAA Privacy & Security Officer and co-chair of the Privacy & Data Security Group, and Alka Bahal is co-chair of Immigration.

The firm’s New Jersey client base “is remarkably broad,” Meklinsky notes. “It ranges from Fortune 100 companies to startups and emerging, growth-stage businesses.”

Fox has also invested in a few cutting-edge practices that are central to today’s changing economy, such as Cannabis Law and Privacy & Data Security, he notes.

What makes Fox attractive, Meklinsky says, “is our flexibility and affordability – compared to other big law firms – and the efficiency of a one-stop shop that the smaller and boutique firms cannot offer.”

The firm draws its regional strength from the resources of its national presence. More than 800 attorneys deliver services across 60 practice areas in 21 offices, coast to coast. Following the acquisition of Smith Moore Leatherwood in November 2018, Fox will welcome another 130 attorneys in six additional offices in North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia.

The merger marks Fox’s most significant growth spurt to date and adds to its already deep bench of employment, intellectual property, litigation and real estate attorneys.
