Fidelity established its regional operations in the New York/New Jersey area in 1983. Since then, its workforce has grown to more than 1,300 associates working in offices in Manhattan and Jersey City as well as 23 Investor Centers in the region.

Local employees donated approximately 1,400 hours in 2017 to more than 30 organizations, such as the Jersey City school district, Boys and Girls Club of Hudson County, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Essex, Hudson & Union Counties, Liberty Science Center and the New Jersey Council of Economic Education.
