PSEG is proud of its strong partnership with the people of New Jersey. For more than 100 years, PSEG has played an essential role in providing the energy to fuel New Jersey’s economy and support the quality of life enjoyed by the state’s residents.

Yet the company isn’t resting on its laurels. “We believe energy utilities can be among society’s most important allies on the path to a sustainable future,” said PSEG Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer Ralph Izzo. “Our vision – based on safe, reliable, economic and greener energy – remains in the forefront of our thinking.”

PSEG is investing in new and traditional ways that further enhance its economic impact. Through its large transmission investment program, the company is essentially rewiring New Jersey – modernizing lines built decades ago to improve the flow of power across the state. A Rutgers University study found that this effort will support 6,000 jobs a year over 10 years.

The company is creating an additional 2,000 jobs a year as it moves ahead with its Energy Strong program to make its systems more resilient against extreme weather. PSEG’s investments in energy efficiency and renewable solar power are generating still more jobs while greening the energy future. And, as the company updates old power plants like its Sewaren facility, jobs are created, too.

PSEG’s experience is that it is possible to power the economy, provide good jobs for people and protect the environment at the same time. The company is doing more in the same vein through an expanded effort to modernize its gas system – in ways that will enhance safety and reliability, reduce the release of methane, a potent greenhouse gas, and support the creation of 500 jobs in New Jersey.

PSEG is not only an energy leader but a deeply engaged corporate citizen, with a long and proud Public Service tradition that has been sustained over generations by its dedicated employees. The company continues to build on its community role in partnership with many others. PSEG’s commitment to New Jersey remains as strong as ever.
