Wok to Walk is an Asian themed fast casual restaurant chain with more than 70 restaurants in Europe, Asia, Africa, South America, and New York. For more than 10 years, Wok to Walk has been satisfying customers with its simple three step menu of Asian take-away or dine-in cuisine incorporating fresh noodles, toppings, and a variety of sauces. The ingredients for each dish are stir-fried in a wok in a fiery Asian cooking show to be served in less than five minutes.
Wok to Walk joins Prudential, Nike, Starbucks, Blaze Pizza, Grabbagreen, and Qdoba at Shoppes on Broad adjacent to the new WholeFoods and Rutgers University. “We’re excited to be opening in Newark and looking forward to sharing our food with the community,” said Elliott Ramos, President of Wok to Walk.
“In today’s fast-paced environment, we see Wok to Walk as a terrific solution for getting tasty healthy food, cooked quickly and fresh to order, in a comfortable setting. New Jersey being the most densely populated state with very strong office markets should be an ideal place for them to expand,” said Alison Horbach of Ripco Real Estate, a leading retail brokerage firm in the New Jersey/New York Metro area which announced the deal.
“With Ripco’s strong landlord relationships and market knowledge, we plan to rollout another dozen restaurants or more throughout New Jersey over the next thirty-six months,” said Ramos. Ripco found Wok to Walk it’s second New Jersey location which is scheduled to open in May on Washington Street in Hoboken. Horbach of Ripco continues to represent Wok to Walk in its strategic site selection for its New Jersey expansion and is actively seeking sites between 900 to 1700 square feet throughout the state.
