Willowbrook Commences Multi-Million Dollar Mall Renovation

Willowbrook Mall announces the 1.5-million-square-foot property will undergo a much anticipated multi-million dollar renovation, enhancing the shopping and dining experience for guests. The project will incorporate aesthetic updates to both the interior and exterior of the property.

Highlights include a redesigned Food Court; refreshed exterior and main entrances; an impressive two-story streetscape; architectural enhancements in the Bloomingdale’s wing; and new floors and ceilings in each wing of the center.

“We are bringing in modern environmental details for our customers from the time they enter the property throughout their shopping trip,” said Gilbert Bankston, Willowbrook senior general manager. “Our renovation is focused on today’s multi-tasking consumer and will introduce highly desired amenities, such as comfortable seating areas and ample charging stations.”

Additional improvements include upgraded lighting; glass handrails on the upper level; fresh paint on all customer facing surfaces; and new interior/exterior wayfinding signage. The two-year project will commence June 15 and is expected to be complete by holiday 2016.
