Wall Township-based Zodiac Aero Evacuation Systems and Airbus Celebrate 40 Years of Working Together

Wall Township-based Air Cruisers Company, LLC, d/b/a Zodiac Aero Evacuation Systems, the only company in the world to offer a comprehensive range of inflatable safety products, and Airbus Americas yesterday celebrated more than 40 years of working together to support air transport customers around the world.

On April 3, 1973, Air Cruisers received technical approval for their evacuation slides for Airbus’ first product, the A300. Nearly a year later that product, as well as slide/rafts, life rafts and life vests, entered service with the first delivery of the A300 aircraft to Air France in May 1974. Forty years later, Zodiac Aero Evacuation Systems products can be found on all of Airbus’ single-aisle products and the newest, the A350 XWB.

Daniel Wenninger, Sr. Director-A350 XWB U.S. Program joined several local dignitaries including New Jersey Business and Industry Association members Frank Robinson and George Saliba, and Wall Township Mayor Clint Hoffman and Wall Township Administrator Jeffrey Bertrand at a ceremony yesterday to celebrate the partnership with Zodiac Aero Evacuation Systems employees and leadership.

Wenninger told the employees at the event, “My primary reason for being here today is to say thank you for your support over many years. For 40 years, you have been a strong partner with Airbus and our customers. From the A300 to the A350, you have been producing items we hope our customers never have to use, but provide the best safety and security.”

John O’Donnell, President of Zodiac Aero Evacuation Systems, formerly Air Cruisers Company, thanked Mr. Wenninger for his kind words and then stated, “Zodiac Aero Evacuation Systems is dedicated to the success of Airbus.  The success we are celebrating today and our continued partnership is a result of the commitment of our employees to deliver to our customers every day an outstanding product and outstanding service.”
