Valley National Bank Appoints Department Head of Commercial Real Estate

Valley National Bank, the wholly-owned subsidiary of Wayne-based Valley National Bancorp, announced the recent appointment of Christopher J. Coiley as head of the Commercial Real Estate Department.

Coiley joined Valley in 1990 as part of the bank’s Management Training program. Upon completion of the program he worked in the Commercial Lending Group for several years before joining the Commercial Real Estate Group. Coiley managed a real estate team in New Jersey prior to his appointment as the New York Commercial Real Estate Division Head six years ago. In his new role as department head of Commercial Real Estate, he will be responsible for the management of all commercial mortgage relationships in the New Jersey and New York markets.

“Chris has a proven record of producing outstanding results for Valley in the commercial real estate space,” remarked Sr. Executive Vice President Thomas Iadanza. “Given his impressive track record, this promotion to department head is a natural progression for Chris. As a hands-on lender and leader, his knowledge of both the New York and New Jersey markets will support the continued growth of the Bank and serve its clientele accordingly.”

Coiley received a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from St. Bonaventure’s University.
