Sax LLP Expands International Tax Expertise with Addition of Goldman

Accounting, tax and business advisory leader Sax LLP has announced the addition of Lisa S. Goldman, CPA, M.Tax, TEP to lead the firm’s International Tax Practice as partner.

Goldman brings more than 25 years of experience and specializes in international taxation. According to Sax, she creates strategic domestic and international tax minimization opportunities for her clients, who are high-net-worth global business leaders and multi-generational families. Goldman regularly structures the holdings and transactions in their non-U.S. corporations, trusts, estates, and other entities. These frequently include private companies, alternative asset classes, real estate, and cryptocurrency.

“International tax is a highly specialized area, and Sax is rapidly expanding its services in the global market such as through cross-border transactions,” said Joseph A. Damiano, CEO and managing partner of Sax. “Lisa is a recognized industry leader who brings a wealth of experience and expertise in this area. We are thrilled to welcome her to the Sax family.”

Goldman’s clients include many foreign nationals with residencies around the world, including Europe, Asia, South America, the Middle East, and Africa, and she regularly collaborates with their legal counsel and family offices.

Goldman began her career in the Big 4 and previously worked at a NYSE-listed company and other mid-sized firms. She was selected as both a Notable Leader and Notable Woman in Accounting & Consulting by Crain’s New York Business and holds the prestigious Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) designation from the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, the leading international professional body of advisors on the structuring of assets by individuals, families, and businesses across the generations.

She earned her Master of Taxation from the University of Akron and Bachelor of Arts in History from The Ohio State University. She is based in the firm’s New York City office.
