RWJBarnabas Health Names Laccetti as EVP for Compliance and Audit

RWJBarnabas Health has appointed Mark E. Laccetti as its executive vice president for compliance and audit. In this newly expanded position, Laccetti will oversee RWJBarnabas health corporate compliance functions and personnel, as well as internal audit.

Laccetti joins RWJBarnabas Health after more than 30 years of public accounting experience, most recently serving as a Partner in Baker Tilly’s risk advisor practice. Prior to his time with Baker Tilly, he enjoyed a successful twenty-year career with Ernst & Young, rising to the position of partner in the firm’s assurance practice.

His professional background includes working with organizations to identify business risks and improve controls to mitigate these risks. Laccetti has led engagement teams in performing business process risk assessments and conducting operational, financial and compliance audits and has worked closely with audit committees, management and corporate counsel to create an environment where financial reporting is transparent, consistent and of the highest quality. His varied industry experience includes health care, higher education, insurance, not-for-profit, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, chemical, gas and manufacturing, technology, and consumer products.

“We are leveraging Mark’s experience to further integrate the internal audit and compliance functions, with the ultimate goal of working with management and members of the Board to help the system to proactively respond to legal, regulatory and compliance risks,” said John Doll, COO for RWJBarnabas Health.

Laccetti earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Rider University. He is actively involved with a number of professional societies and organizations, including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Healthcare Financial Management Association, Institute of Internal Auditors and Association of Healthcare Internal Auditors.
