Morristown-based law firm Riker Danzig LLP has announced that Partner Steven T. Senior, co-chair of the firm’s Environmental Group, has been elected a Fellow of the American College of Environmental Lawyers.
Senior is one of 17 Fellows named nationwide in the 2024 class of ACOEL, for which membership is by invitation only. According to ACOEL’s press release, “Each new college member has a depth of experience in – and has made substantial contributions to – the field of environmental law.” ACOEL President Kevin R. Murray of Holland and Hart, LLP said, “Our new fellows are among the very best practitioners of environmental law in the country. Collectively, they represent tremendous depth, breadth, and diversity of experience. We are pleased to welcome them to the College on the basis of their career achievements and thought leadership.”
Members of ACOEL are recognized by their peers as preeminent in their field. ACOEL is dedicated to maintaining and improving the ethical practice of environmental law, the administration of justice, and the development of environmental law at both the state and federal level.
Senior’s practice serves a wide array of industries and businesses, including brownfields redevelopers, the energy, manufacturing and pharmaceutical sectors and environmental consulting and engineering firms. He has been a leading attorney involved in the development of the Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) program and the New Jersey Site Remediation Reform Act. He is a founder of the Justice Stewart G. Pollock Environmental American Inn of Court.
