Kingsway Services, Inc. (KSI) welcomed Rachel Wiggans Chan of Cherry Hill as the organization’s chief executive officer. Chan was previously on staff as a senior program officer at Rodel in Wilmington, DE, focused on building partnerships with districts and advocating for state education policy shifts. Prior to that role, she was on staff at Freire Charter School in Philadelphia and supported the school’s growth from 500 students to 2,000 students.
Chan comes to Kingsway with 10 years of experience in non-profit management, policy research and development, and strategic planning. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL and a Master of Public Administration from the Fels Institute of Government at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Chan’s experience in education and the nonprofit sector will ensure Kingsway continues to support students, families, staff, and the board in building on the organization’s rich history and proud legacy in the South Jersey region.
Kingsway Services, Inc. is a private, special needs organization with locations in Voorhees and Haddonfield. KSI is the umbrella organization of Kingsway Learning Center, a special education school serving approximately 200 students a year from pre-school to age 21 with multiple learning and developmental challenges. Kingsway receives students from Burlington, Camden, Gloucester and Mercer Counties in New Jersey, and Southeastern Pennsylvania. A program serving individuals over the age of 21 has recently been launched.
