Fifteen years ago today, New Jersey legends Bon Jovi and My Chemical Romance opened the doors to the Prudential Center in Newark. Since then, the facility has hosted more than 2,500 events and more than 20 million guests. To commemorate the 15th anniversary, Prudential Center will host a year-long celebration featuring an incredible lineup of events.
“The Rock” is an industry leader, not only in New Jersey, but worldwide. Ranked in the Top 10 globally by Pollstar, Billboard, and Venues Today, Prudential Center has been consistently recognized as a must-stop venue for acts across all genres of music, sports, and entertainment.

In addition to being the home of the National Hockey League’s (NHL) three-time Stanley Cup Champion New Jersey Devils, who celebrate their 40th Anniversary this season, and Seton Hall University’s NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball program, Prudential Center also hosts the Devils’ practice facility – RWJBarnabas Health Hockey House, and the GRAMMY Museum Experience TM Prudential Center, which also celebrates its’ 5th Anniversary this week.
The Rock has become one of the hottest venues of its size in the United States. The venue hosts more than 175 diverse programs per year which include K-Pop, Latin, R&B, Hip-Hop, Rock, Pop, family shows, specials events, and much more. Prudential Center has recently established itself as the “North American Home of K-Pop” and a must-play Northeast destination for Latin acts.
Additionally, the building’s burgeoning sports properties business includes two annual marquee college basketball events in the Never Forget Tribute Classic and the Invesco QQQ Legacy Classic for HBCUs, World Championship Boxing, collegiate and professional wrestling, esports, and much more.
Among its greatest hits over the past 15 years, Prudential Center has hosted the 2012 NHL Stanley Cup Finals and professional basketball games including the New Jersey Nets (NBA) and the New York Liberty (NBA). Prudential Center also hosted the 2019 & 2022 MTV Video Music Awards, Rolling Stones, Elton John, Taylor Swift, Bruce Springsteen, Garth Brooks, JAY-Z, Drake, Andrea Bocelli, Bruno Mars, Foo Fighters, The Who, My Chemical Romance, Iron Maiden, Justin Bieber, U2, Lady Gaga, Paul McCartney, Shawn Mendes, George Strait, Michael Bublé, Justin Timberlake, Bad Bunny, Kevin Hart, Chris Rock, and Sebastian Maniscalco.
