The Palace at Somerset Park, the indoor and outdoor weddings and corporate events venue, has announced a $10 million multi-phase renovation in celebration of its 20th anniversary. Every inch of the facility, from its East House to the West House, will undergo a series of renovations and enhancements that is expected to improve the guest experience while preserving the property’s elegance. The renovation project will be led by Iron Hill Construction Management, the firm that built the venue in 2004.
The cocktail hour spaces will be expanded. This will include outdoor pavilions that seamlessly connect the cocktail bar with the venue’s natural outdoor setting. The East Grand Foyer and East House will welcome guests with updates, including new carpets, wall coverings, millwork and lighting. Its East Ballroom will have soft, neutral decor, drapes and modern chandeliers, while the East Library is expected to become a trendy cocktail hour spot with a sleek bar and contemporary art. Finally, the East House’s Versailles Wedding Suite will transform into a pre-wedding sanctuary.
The Palace at Somerset Park’s West House upgrades will consist of a contemporary makeover, featuring opulent furnishings, new carpets and chandeliers. The West Library will transform into an intimate bar area. The West House will also unveil a brand-new groom suite equipped with leisure amenities like a pool table.
