The New Jersey State Golf Association (NJSGA) introduced New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance Group (NJM) as the presenting sponsor of its Senior Amateur Championship and its newest Corporate Partner.
NJM currently provides coverage to more than 50 NJSGA member golf clubs throughout the state.
“NJM is thrilled to begin a partnership with The New Jersey State Golf Association, an organization that has been serving its members for nearly 120 years, said John Hardiman, NJM’s public affairs director. “The work it does in raising the profile of such a beloved past time the world over is essential. We look forward to supporting that important mission.”
NJSGA will help NJM maintain its brand leadership position in New Jersey as one of the state’s oldest and most recognized corporate citizens by connecting NJM with its members and tournament participants, many of whom own and help run businesses of all shapes and sizes across the state.
NJM will become the first-ever presenting sponsor of the 60th Senior Amateur Championship, support business networking initiatives the NJSGA is developing with fellow corporate partner Provident Bank, and establish a major presence on the association’s website as Presenting Sponsor of Live Scoring for all NJSGA championships and events. The NJSGA will conduct 26 championships and six USGA qualifying events in 2018.
“The NJSGA was created in 1900 to promote and preserve the traditions of the game of golf across the state. We share a similar commitment to tradition, service and reliability that NJM has built its business on”, said Kevin Purcell, Executive Director of the NJSGA, “those shared values are just a perfect fit with NJM. They are excited to use golf as a new marketing platform and the partner programming we’ve developed for them will extend their great products and services to the business owners, corporate executives and member golf clubs, who are all part of the NJSGA community.”
The NJSGA will also provide a wide range of networking and hospitality activities for NJM to develop new business prospects and strengthen relationships with existing clients.
One of NJM’s core values is to support the communities in which it serves. NJM will honor that pledge by also supporting fundraising activities around the NJSGA Caddie Scholarship Foundation and the NJSGA Youth Foundation. In 2017, the CSF granted 150 scholarships to New Jersey caddies, while the Youth Foundation provided grants to more than a dozen junior golf and sports organizations across the state.
