NJM Insurance Group Names Mitchell Livingston Executive Vice President & Corporate Counsel

West Trenton-based NJM Insurance Group, New Jersey’s leading property-casualty insurer, recently announced that Mitchell A. Livingston, Esq., has been promoted to Executive Vice President & Corporate Counsel.

Livingston, who is also a member of NJM’s Board of Directors, is responsible for leading the company’s strategic planning efforts, while also heading-up NJM’s Commercial Lines sales, service and underwriting divisions, which include the Garden State’s largest workers’ compensation book of business. He also oversees NJM’s Human Resources Department and Special Investigations Unit.

Livingston, formerly a Director of the law firm of Sterns & Weinroth, joined NJM in 2006 as a staff attorney and following a series of promotions was named Senior Vice President & Corporate Counsel in 2013, the same year he was elected to the NJM Board. A member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, he formerly served on the District VII Ethics Committee of the New Jersey Supreme Court. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees for the Drumthwacket Foundation, the curator of the official residence of the Governor. A graduate of Rutgers University and Rutgers School of Law, Livingston resides in Yardley, Pennsylvania.

NJM also announced the retirement of two board members and several other staff promotions.

Retiring from the NJM Board are longtime directors James M. Seabrook and Thomas S. Marotta.  A former Chairman of NJM’s Board, Seabrook has been a board member for 30 years, including the last nine as Director Emeritus. Marotta first joined the NJM Board in 1995 and has provided 21 years of valued service.

Regarding staff promotions, Steven B. Goldman, Daniel A. Toadvine, Esq., and Robert D. Weaver were named Assistant Vice Presidents, Cam Maio was promoted to Director of Marketing and Loretta Kreutzberg was promoted to Manager, Program Management Office.

Goldman, of Waldwick, joined NJM in 1990 as an auto claims representative before moving to Commercial Lines Sales in 1999. He was promoted to Manager, Commercial Line Sales/Policyholder Services in 2010 and to Director in 2013. Goldman is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati.

Toadvine, of Yardley, Pennsylvania, joined NJM in 1999 as an attorney in the Auto Claims Legal Department. Prior to joining the company, he worked at ASCS/Penn Independent Corp. and Robert C. Gibson and Associates. Toadvine was promoted to a Manager, Claims Counsel in 2006 and to Director in 2011. He is a graduate of Temple University and Widener University School of Law.

Weaver, of Robbinsville, joined NJM in 1994 as a customer service representative. He was promoted to Senior Business Analyst in IT in 2001 and to Business Relationship Specialist in 2004, resulting in a move to the Company’s Cash Management Department. He was promoted to Business Process Administrator in 2006 and to Manager, Cash Management in 2010 before he was named Assistant Treasurer in 2013. He is a graduate of Monmouth University.

Maio, of Freehold, joined NJM in 2014, having most recently served as Director of Strategic Marketing at Plymouth Rock Corporation. His previous work experience included roles as Vice President of Sales and Marketing at A.K. Stamping, BeCu Manufacturing and P&R Fasteners. Maio graduated from Loyola University.

Kreutzberg, of Columbus, was a Programmer/Analyst at Applications General Corporation in Princeton prior to joining NJM in 2001 in a similar position. That same year, she was promoted to Senior Programmer Analyst and, in 2002, to Lead Programmer Analyst.  After assuming increasing levels of responsibility within the Company as ETL Architect and then Solution Delivery Lead, in 2010 she was named Administrator, Business Solution Delivery. Kreutzberg is a graduate of Rider College (now Rider University).
