NJM Insurance Group Becomes First in Country to Earn J.D. Power Claims Certification

NJM Insurance Group (NJM), one of the Mid‐Atlantic Region’s leading providers of personal auto insurance, announced that it is the first insurer in the country to become “Auto Claims Certified” under J.D. Power’s new Personal Auto Insurance Claims Certification Program. This exclusive program recognizes those personal auto insurers that are committed to providing their customers with an outstanding claims experience.

“As a company that exists for the sole service and benefit of its policyholders, we’re thrilled to be the inaugural recipient of J.D. Power’s Insurance Claims Certification,” said Mitch Livingston, NJM president & CEO. “The certification provides strong independent validation that we continue to meet our underlying mission to provide value‐based insurance solutions to our policyholders with the highest levels of service, integrity, and financial stewardship.”

In order to qualify for the certification, NJM was evaluated on overall customer satisfaction with the claims experience in comparison to 52 insurance brands. In addition, NJM passed a rigorous independent audit that included an evaluation of 90 claims experiences, and an assessment of operational best practices conducted by J.D. Power.

“The Claims Certification Program will assist consumers who expect an exceptional claims experience from their insurer, as well as third‐party vendors working with insurers,” said Jessica McGregor, director of insurance at J.D. Power. “Certified brands will also benefit by leveraging the J.D. Power brand and promoting their organization’s commitment to an outstanding insurance claims experience. We thank NJM for their active participation in this process and congratulate them for their achievement as our first Auto Claims Certified carrier.”
