Nisivoccia Announces New Managing Partner

Nisivoccia, an accounting and business advisory firm with offices in Mt. Arlington and Newton, announced that Bud Jones, CPA, RMA, PSA has been named managing partner of the firm, succeeding Timothy Mehaffey, CPA. Jones becomes the fourth managing partner of Nisivoccia as the firm celebrates its 50-year anniversary.

“As managing partner, I look forward to overseeing the future growth of the firm, strengthening our unparalleled firm culture and working with our professionals to continue to exceed our clients’ expectations,” Jones said.

Jones joined Nisivoccia in July 1981 as a member of the government team. Through the years he has served on
several of the firm’s operational committees including Quality Control, Technology and Executive Leadership. His
expertise includes audit, accounting and consulting services for governmental entities within the State of New
Jersey including municipalities, counties, county colleges, school districts, and joint insurance funds. Jones has also developed a concentration in the areas of insurance enterprises, budget and financial planning, shared services, utility rate studies, internal control reviews, capital project financing and related debt offerings as well as technology projects for governmental entities.

Jones is a frequent speaker at seminars, conferences, and conventions on issues relevant to governmental finance.
Since 2014, Jones has hosted a roundtable for chief financial officers of municipalities and counties to discuss issues impacting their entities and to assist in providing educational opportunities. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, he hosted roundtables virtually and bi-weekly to support and guide the local municipalities throughout difficult economic times.

As serving the community is rooted within the culture of the firm, Jones volunteers for various charitable and
professional organizations. He is the treasurer and former chairperson of the Morris County Library Foundation, a
member of the 200 Club of Morris County, and associate member of New Jersey Government Finance Officers
Association. He is a former chairperson of the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants’ Governmental
Accounting and Auditing Interest Group as well as BKR’s Government and Non-Profit Committee.

In his free time, Jones enjoys collecting wine, attending concerts, golfing with clients and spending time with family
and friends.
