Secure Technology Integration Group, Ltd. (STIGroup), an innovative cybersecurity consulting firm, announced David M. Gordon has joined its executive team as president. In this new role, he will lead global sales, business development and marketing. With more than 25 years of experience in cybersecurity and information technology, Gordon’s focus will be to increase revenue and market share, expand partnerships and implement a successful go-to-market strategy.
“David is a tremendous addition to the STIGroup leadership team. His experience leading and scaling companies aligns perfectly with our plan for growth,” said Dominic Genzano, CEO and founder of STIGroup. “As the demand for cybersecurity services and solutions continues to grow, David’s expertise will help drive our innovation and market leadership.”
As president, Gordon will lead several key initiatives for the firm, including revealing a new marketing brand and associated assets, launching new practice areas and developing best-of-breed partnerships.
“STIGroup has a talented team of security professionals and is well-positioned in the industry with respect to vision, depth and ability to execute,” said Gordon. “I am excited to build on our core competencies to significantly expand STIGroup’s offerings and market share.”
According to a study by Cybersecurity Ventures, cybercrime damages will rise to over $6 trillion annually by 2021. Gartner projects global spending on cyber security products and services are predicted to exceed $1 trillion over the next five years, from 2017 to 2021. As a result, businesses are relying on external security experts to help shore up their defenses. STIGroup provides cyber security consulting, managed security services, secure IT engineering and value-added resale (VAR) as its core offerings.
“Carbon Black’s long standing partnership with STIGroup will benefit with David in this leadership position,” said Michael Viscuso, Carbon Black’s CTO and co-founder. “Our organizations have a mutual commitment to protecting businesses against advanced cyberattacks. David’s 25 years of experience in the cybersecurity space will help to advance this joint commitment.”
Before joining STIGroup, Gordon held leadership positions at NetSPI, LightCyber (acquired by Palo Alto Networks) and Carbon Black. He also led EMEA sales for WhiteHat Security. Gordon is a member of OWASP, and contributes security business expertise at many events including BlackHat, FS-ISAC and RSA Conference. He holds a bachelor’s degree in English Literature and Political Science from William Paterson University.
“David brings a successful track record of executing with cutting-edge cyber security solutions,” said Dee Dee Acquista, vice president, worldwide channels for SentinelOne. “SentinelOne is excited to partner with STIGroup, both as an MSSP and a VAR bringing our award-winning endpoint security platform to market.”
