New Jersey Tourism Industry Association Selects Resorts Casino Hotel for 2016 Conference

The New Jersey Tourism Industry Association has selected Resorts Casino Hotel as the venue for its 2016 New Jersey Governor’s Conference on Tourism.

According to Sharon Franz, president of the New Jersey Tourism Industry Association (NJTIA) and Sales & Marketing Director of the Atlantic City Steel Pier, the NJTIA selection committee contracted with the Resorts Casino Hotel for their March 2016 Conference because of the transformation of the property and numerous investments made over the past 2 years including the most recent multi-million dollar state of the art conference center.

With the opening of the new Conference Center, Resorts will now offer an additional 12,000 square feet of meeting space. “We’ve been coming to AC for a long time and wanted to bring our meeting and attendees back to the Boardwalk. Factoring in that Resorts’ new Conference Center and meeting amenities would be able to provide the highest level of service our program requires, we had no doubt this was the right place to convene next year,” said Franz.

With its expanded 12,000 square feet of meeting space with 12 additional meeting rooms, along with Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville Entertainment Complex, Resorts Casino Hotel now offers groups more than 64,000 square feet of meeting and event space consisting of 27 rooms that can accommodate up to 1,350 guests.

“We have strategically repositioned Resorts into a more vibrant destination to capture more convention business.  As the only Atlantic City hotel with dramatic floor to ceiling ocean view ballrooms, combined with Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville Entertainment Complex, we’re able to offer meeting planners and their attendees a variety of venues for both their business and social programs,” said Mark Giannantonio, president and CEO of Resorts Casino Hotel.
