Mount Laurel-based The New Jersey Technology Council has received forty-one submissions for its Mobile Apps Forum which will take place on June 25 at Princeton University. This year’s forum sponsored by A&T will bring together some of the best mobile app developers in the region to hear from panels as well as have the winners showcase some of the best new apps that have been developed in the past two years. This is the fourth year of the annual forum which shifts annually between Princeton University and Fairleigh Dickinson University. Submissions came from states throughout the region, California and Ohio and three foreign countries.
Submissions have been sent in for the following sub-categories: Enterprise Mobile Apps, Health/Wellness Apps, Mobile Commerce, Mobile Media, Personalized Services, Smart City Applications, Social Media and Technology & Arts. The Technology and Arts is a new sub-category this year as are separate categories for early versions of apps developed by high school and undergraduate college students. Awards will be presented by J. Michael Schweder, President-AT&T Mid-Atlantic States, during the Forum.
Attendees at the Forum will also hear from keynoter, Paritosh Bajpay, VP, Services Design & Development, AT&T who currently holds 78 patents. He currently leads the Services Design & Development efforts focusing on virtualization and programmable network cloud platforms. His projects have received AT&T’s Software Excellence Award five times for exceptional software quality and development process, and most recently, the prestigious CIO 100 Award.
Other events taking place during the afternoon forum will be panels on Mobile Medical Applications, Funding Mobile Apps, WorkGroups on Application Development, Cloud Computing and Health & IT. There will also be presentations by professors at Princeton and Stevens Institute of Technology. Other panelists representing Drexel University, Fairmount Partners, M3 Health, Navio Health, New Jersey Institute of Technology, phone.com and Start Up Valley will also be speaking.
