NAI James E. Hanson Finds Tenant for 3,500 Square-Foot Flex Space in Chatham

NAI James E. Hanson, a New Jersey-based commercial real estate firm, announces that it has facilitated the lease of a 3,500-square-foot brewing  space at 13 Watching Avenue in Chatham, to Twin Elephant Brewing Company, a Morris County-based micro-brewery.

Senior Vice President Tom Ryan, of NAI James E. Hanson, marketed the space and managed the transaction on behalf of the property’s owner, 13 Watchung Avenue Associates. The former industrial space features, 20-foot ceilings, ideal for housing brewing equipment, wide open and column free floor space and one tailgate. The site is advantageously located less than one mile from Route 24 and approximately two miles from Interstate 78.

“In addition to necessary physical features, such as ample floor space, high ceilings and a loading/unloading area, our client wanted to locate in a spot where it could draw visitors,” Ryan said. “This is one of Morris County’s first micro-breweries and Chatham and its neighboring towns of Madison, Summit, New Providence, Short Hills and Millburn all present demographic profiles that are ideal for an artisanal brewery, and we presented this location as one that will enable Twin Elephant Brewing Company to serve the nearby population.”

In addition, Ryan said, “the taproom will be open to the public for tours and tastings Fridays 5-10PM, Saturday 12-9PM, and Sunday 12-5PM”.  The ownership team of Scott McLuskey, Cynthia Derama and Tim Besecker anticipate a fall 2015 Grand Opening.
