NACD New Jersey Welcomes Three New Board Members

The NACD New Jersey Chapter, the advocate for the profession of directorship, today announced that Jeannie Diefenderfer, Judy Reinsdorf, and Michele Siekerka have been elected to the chapter’s Board of Directors.

“Our three new directors add a diverse set of experience across nonprofit, private, and public board roles and are highly regarded in the New Jersey business community as leaders and champions of corporate governance excellence,” said Tom Fuller, president and CEO of NACD New Jersey.

“On behalf of the entire board, I’m pleased to welcome Jeannie, Judy, and Michele to the NACD New Jersey Chapter Board of Directors,” added Anita Allen, chair of the board. “Their leadership and board experience during normal course of business and in complex situations will be invaluable to our organization.”

Jeannie Diefenderfer

Jeannie Diefenderfer enjoyed a 28-year career at Verizon Communications holding a range of roles, including SVP of Global Engineering & Planning, chief procurement officer, and SVP of Enterprise Customer Care. She is currently an independent director on the boards of Windstream Holdings and Colony Capital Inc., an advisor to Sedona Systems, trustee of Olin College of Engineering, and vice chair and trustee of Tufts University. Diefenderfer previously served on the boards of MRV Communications, Westell Technologies, Citizens Funds, and the Ms. Foundation for Women. She has been honored with the Outstanding 50 Asian Americans in Business and Asian Women in Business Corporate Leadership Awards. 

Judy Reinsdorf

Judy Reinsdorf has 15 years of experience as a C-suite executive and general counsel across multiple industries, most recently as EVP and general counsel of Johnson Controls and Tyco International. She serves on the board of Alexion Pharmaceuticals where she chairs the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee and is a member of the Audit & Finance Committee. She is also on the advisory board of Teach for America NJ and formerly served on the board of Dun & Bradstreet. In 2019, Reinsdorf was named to WomenInc. Magazine’s 2019 Most Influential Corporate Directors list.

Michele Siekerka

Michele N. Siekerka Esq. is president and CEO of the New Jersey Business & Industry Association and is the former Deputy Commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection. She serves on the board of directors of Investors Bancorp, Choose New Jersey, the New Jersey Innovation Institute, and Junior Achievement of New Jersey. She also previously served on her local school board for more than 11 years. Siekerka’s leadership has been recognized through her inclusion in the Power and Policymaker list rankings by Insider NJ, PolitickerNJ, and NJBIZ, as well as being cited as one of the 17 People to Watch in 2017 by the Bergen Record. She was also among NJBIZ’s 2015 Best 50 Women in Business and was inducted into the NJ Business Hall of Fame in 2018.
