Morey’s Piers and Water Parks Ready to Open Safely Tomorrow

Among the many amusement parks opening around the state this 4th of July weekend is Morey’s Piers and Water Parks, which opens its gates for summer fun, tomorrow.

Located on the boardwalk in the Wildwoods, Morey’s is a classic seaside amusement park that has been family owned and operated since 1969. Voted the best seaside amusement park in the world by Amusement Today last year and #1 Best Beach Boardwalk by Family Vacation Critic for consecutive years, Morey’s Piers has over 100 rides and attractions spanning more than 18 acres along six beach blocks. It includes three amusement piers and two beachfront water parks.

The facility was schedule to open this past April 11, but - like other businesses in the state - it had to remain closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and related state shutdown.

With New Jersey’s health numbers improving in the midst of a Stage Two reopening, Morey’s Piers has taken a number of steps to keep visitors safe.

Will and Jack Morey, partners in the family operated business, comment, “We’re excited to welcome people back onto the piers again and are working to expand our commitment to safety and cleanliness starting with our Safe Play Promise. These strengthened procedures are designed to give our guests even greater confidence in visiting our facilities and to give our staff the protection they need to provide the best experience possible during one’s visit.”

Per state guidelines, capacity will be limited to 50% on the piers and in the water park. In order to control capacity there will be entrance and exit points in place prior to entering the pier and water park.  Visitors and employees are required to wear face coverings, and visitors may experience longer wait times and limited attraction availability. For a list of rides and attractions that will be open, including hours of operation, please visit https://www.moreyspiers.com/info/park-hours.
