Hamilton-based Modern Line Furniture, a manufacturer of contemporary office furniture, believes in the power of community and the importance of giving back. Recently, Sales Manager Veronika Lemeshenkova had the privilege of coordinating a furniture donation to Habitat for Humanity, the organization dedicated to building and improving homes for those in need.
“From the moment we arrived,” Lemeshenkova stated, “we knew this was more than just a delivery—it was an opportunity to make a meaningful impact.”
Alongside Jackie Morrill, Modern Line procurement coordinator, staff unpacked boxes, assembled furniture, and staged it for use. “This hands-on experience reminded us how even the smallest contributions can create lasting change,” Lemeshenkova said. “Our conversations with Jackie reinforced the importance of supporting organizations that work tirelessly to help others. We were also deeply honored to receive a recognition letter from Habitat for Humanity after the donation.”
While Modern Line regularly makes financial contributions to organizations such as Paralyzed Veterans of America, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Vietnam Veterans of America, and others, the company has found that in-person donations offer something uniquely rewarding. They allow it to build deeper relationships with those it supports and witness the direct impact of its efforts.
“This year, we’re doubling down on hands-on giving opportunities to strengthen our connection with the community and the people we serve. These experiences not only enrich the lives of those we help but also inspire us to continue finding new ways to make a difference,” Lemeshenkova said.
Looking ahead, Modern Line is excited to take part in more initiatives that positively impact lives. “If your organization is looking for support or if you’re inspired to join us in giving back, we’d love to connect,” Lemeshenkova commented.
