The Meadowlands Chamber will move to Wall Street in Lyndhurst to a dynamic new 7,000-square-foot space that includes co-working resources, educational, meeting and technology features that will provide valuable resources to close to 1,200 business members.
The new location, which is significantly larger than its current offices, will have dedicated spaces for a 75-seat Innovation Learning Center, a Meadowlands Live! Visitors Center to promote destination related assets of the region; a Podcast Studio, 2 Video conference suites and multiple Ideation and Collaboration zone and Huddle Rooms that members can reserve as part of their membership. All areas of the office will provide free secure Wifi internet service.
“Following a long-term Strategic Business Plan, we want to provide our members with new, innovative and forward-thinking resources that will invigorate more collaboration, learning and networking to strengthen businesses of all sizes,” said Jim Kirkos, president and CEO of the Meadowlands Chamber of Commerce. “At the top of that list was providing a centralized location that was welcoming to all our members, from the small entrepreneurs looking for an occasional office or meeting space to get away from their home office, to the larger organizations who are headquartered outside of The Meadowlands but need a home base when they’re doing business in North Jersey.”
Anthony Guzzo of Guzzo & Guzzo Architects helped to create the design plans for the new space, and Danker is manufacturing the interior modular wall systems with built-in technology capabilities.
To finance the project, the Chamber has embarked on a Capital Campaign to build the “Chamber of the Future” with a Goal of $500,00.00. Early supporters of this initiative are members: The Meadowlands 2040 Foundation, Inc, American Dream Meadowlands, Hackensack Meridian Health, Goya Foods, Hartz Mtn, NJM, Horizon BCBS, J. Fletcher Creamer & Sons, Russo Development, Forsgate Industrial Properties, Onyx Equities, Kearny Bank, Edison Properties, WSP, Guzzo & Guzzo Architects, Felician College, Sharing Network, Scarinci & Hollenbexk, McGowan Builders, Bergen Engineering and 16W Marketing.
The Meadowlands Chamber plans to move into the new space by fall 2019.
