Langan Opens London Office

Elmwood Park-based Langan Engineering & Environmental Services officially announced the opening of its London office. The Langan London office, located at 90 Long Acre Covent Garden, London, WC2E 9RZ, will provide a critical conduit for the firm’s international practice. Its primary purpose will be to facilitate business among the many other global players – developers, architects, construction companies, and allied consultants – that are also located in London.

“Many of our international projects involve clients and design firms that are located in London, so it became quite clear to us that being in London is strategically important,” said George Leventis, Managing Director of Langan International. “Our new Langan office brings us closer to such partners and will improve our ability to team with them to bring even more value to our international clients.”

The London office will be led by Langan Associate Can Karayel, who together with Paul Gildea, another Langan Associate, currently lead Langan projects in countries ranging from Turkey to Kazakhstan to Saudi Arabia to the United Arab Emirates. From London they will continue to manage Langan offices and projects in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Istanbul and Doha.

“George Leventis, Can Karayel, and Paul Gildea have done a tremendous job supporting our clients in Europe and the Middle East,” said David T. Gockel, President/CEO, Langan.

“Now with an office in London, a global city where major decisions are made about development projects around the world, we are better positioned to grow our international business relationships. We are confident that Langan’s responsiveness and expertise will be a welcome option for London-based clients and partners in need of consultants for complex projects around the world.”

In addition to London, other “global city” locations for Langan include New York, San Francisco, Washington DC, Miami, Houston, and Panama.
