KPMG Breaks Ground on New Technology Center

KPMG LLP, the audit, tax and advisory firm, recently broke ground on its new state-of-the-art technology center at 75 Chestnut Ridge Road in Montvale. CFO and Montvale Office Managing Principal David H.W. Turner was joined by Montvale Mayor Michael Ghassali and Montvale Planning Board Chairman John DePinto, along with KPMG employees and other guests, to celebrate the new building as well as the 30th anniversary of the firm’s presence in Montvale.

Adjacent to KPMG’s existing 281,000-square-foot central campus, the 81,000-square-foot-plus building will house up to 625 professionals upon expected completion in winter 2018. The firm revealed renderings of the technology center which will feature cutting-edge tools such as electronic whiteboards, interactive digital communications screens, internet-enabled telephones and the latest in videoconferencing, as well as an innovation area to create and test new technologies for implementation within the firm and for clients. The flexible design will provide a mix of collaboration, meeting and individual work space as well as Hub areas, quiet rooms and a café.

“KPMG’s investment in a new technology center exemplifies our firm’s focus on innovation and collaboration as critical elements of our culture and continued growth,” said Turner. “Bringing together more than 600 technology professionals in a world-class facility will further strengthen our ability to develop new solutions and capabilities, while creating an environment where they will be proud to work. We are very pleased to build upon our 30 years of success in the Montvale community with this state-of-the-art addition to our campus.”

Turner noted that in addition to the newly-acquired building at 75 Chestnut Ridge Road, KPMG is planning improvements to its central campus at 3 Chestnut Ridge Road and its location at 300 Tice Boulevard in nearby Woodcliff Lake.

KPMG professionals in Montvale and Woodcliff Lake are primarily within support organizations such as technology, human resources, marketing and finance and accounting. The firm employs more than 3,100 professionals statewide in New Jersey.

“KPMG has been a valued member of our Montvale business community for 30 years,” said Montvale Mayor Michael Ghassali. “The firm’s decision to expand its presence with the construction of a leading-edge technology facility is a testament both to Montvale’s business-friendly environment and our long-standing relationship with KPMG.”
